SINGAPORE, 28 June 2022 – Smartcom Pte Ltd announced that it had reached an agreement with Singapore's premier shopping mall ION Orchard, to extend their contract for an additional two years for their push-to-talk (PTT) solutions for improving business efficiency and worker safety.
ION Orchard had previously used Smartcom's MCPTT device, a smart and rugged 4G LTE PTT device powered by the Android platform. The device is designed for use in the mission-critical communication field and supports push-to-talk function. Combining group calling and GPS location makes Smartcom’s solution ideal for ION Orchard in managing operational staff and departments that are in constant movement, from store managers, security staff, and engineering to housekeeping and grounds keeping. Smartcom’s solution is integrated with the TASSTA platform that can help ION Orchard to utilise multiple features in one device such as Lone Worker Protection (LWP) Alarm, Man Down alerts, GPS localization, and QR Code or NFC chip scanning.
